Hi! We’re looking forward to meeting you!

As new owners at Woods End Landing we are very excited to share our adventure in Bamfield. For those who are planning on making a trip to Woods End Landing, we very much look forward to meeting you. Whether you are fishing, boating, kayaking or hiking the trails, we cannot wait to see you this season and share our love of the beautiful West Coast.

Early in the season means no one around fishing but you!

Salmon fishing is GREAT at the surf line, Ship Island, Brady’s Beach, Sail Rock, and Meares Bluff, Springs have been caught up to 20 pounds, at depths anywhere from 80 -110 feet on the rigger. They’re full of needle fish so the best tackle to use are small spoons like irish cream and cop car, and hoochies like white turd and the classic white glow.

Ling Cod fishing is GOOD too and is expected to continue through June. Fair-sized lings have been caught up to 15 pounds. The best ling cod fishing is usually near any reef or steep shoreline cliff (make sure to check the regulations for fin-fish closures in Barkley Sound).

Halibut fishing is GREAT! 7 mile bank has been hot for halibut up to 45 pounds… trolling and jigging have been equally successful.
